About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Learning Support Mentor to work with secondary-aged pupils (KS3, 4 & 5) who have SEMH needs or are struggling in a mainstream education setting. This role focuses on supporting their academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with their academic and social development.
- Encourage and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement learning strategies to meet individual needs.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience working with pupils with SEN (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of child development and learning principles.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships with young people.
- Patience and resilience in challenging situations.
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- Salary: 18,000 – 20,000 per annum
- Full-time position (08:00am 16:30pm)
- Long-term contract with potential for permanent role.
- Own transport desirable
