About the Role:
Tiree Library is seeking a highly motivated Library Assistant in Charge to manage the day-to-day operations. This role involves delivering a quality customer-focused service and overseeing the library’s information services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the library.
- Handle customer enquiries and requests, including stock issuing and discharging.
- Process new stock acquisitions.
- Maintain and monitor library statistics.
- Deliver BookBug sessions and other library events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local schools and organizations.
- Ensure adherence to LiveArgyll health and safety policies.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven ability to manage a library environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience with library systems and procedures.
- Ability to manage and organize library resources effectively.
- Knowledge of library management software (if applicable).
- Experience in delivering library programs and events.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
