About the Role:

As a Meeting & Events Operations Supervisor in Edinburgh, you’ll oversee and manage the smooth operation of all meetings and events, ensuring a positive guest experience and meeting departmental targets. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service within the venue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise meeting and events operations.
  • Delegate tasks according to daily function sheets.
  • Work across all event areas (bar, restaurant, room service).
  • Welcome guests politely and efficiently.
  • Handle cash transactions adhering to procedures.
  • Resolve guest queries promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned work areas.
  • Plan, organize, and control daily operations.
  • Ensure adherence to brand standards.
  • Represent team needs and concerns.
  • Support Food & Beverage in achieving financial targets.
  • Assist the Meeting & Events Manager in team training and development.
  • Conduct performance appraisals with direct reports.
  • Comply with hotel safety, fire regulations, and all health and safety standards.
  • Adhere to local licensing laws and environmental policies.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed and maintain positive working relationships.
