About the Role:
Become a Trainee Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner in Birmingham, supporting adults with severe mental health challenges. This one-year program, in collaboration with the University of Derby, is fully funded and provides a pathway to a permanent Band 5 position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete academic and clinical work throughout the one-year program.
- Attend all training elements and successfully progress through competency assessments.
- Develop and practice psychologically-informed interventions under supervision.
- Support collaborative care planning with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Work alongside mental health professionals to deliver brief wellbeing interventions.
Skills and Expertise:
- Motivated and highly skilled individual.
- Experience with adults experiencing severe mental health conditions (desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to the principles of psychological interventions.
