About the Role:

We are hiring Full-Time Meter Readers in Greater London. No prior experience is needed for this active outdoor role. You’ll collect data from gas, electricity, and water meters for residential and commercial properties, updating readings on handheld devices and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting meter readings from domestic, commercial, and industrial sites (Gas, Electricity, Water).
  • Accurately updating meter readings on handheld devices.
  • Entering meter reading details into systems.
  • Conducting visual inspections of metering equipment.
  • Completing Charge Point Surveys.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Providing excellent customer service.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (minimum 1 year, maximum 6 points, no driving offences)
  • Physical fitness (ability to bend, lift, kneel, climb stairs, crouch, and walk 6-7 miles daily)
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Clean DBS check (no unspent criminal convictions)
  • Clear credit report (no County Court Judgments, IVA, debt relief orders in the last 6 years)
  • 5 years employment history
  • Previous customer service experience (preferred)

Job Facilities/Benefits:

  • 13.43-14.00 per hour (weekly payment)
  • 40-45 hours per week with flexible hours (8am-8pm)
  • 27,000-31,000 average annual earnings
