About the Role:
DX is seeking a dedicated Night Warehouse Operative to ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of freight. This role plays a critical part in our delivery operations, supporting our commitment to timely and accurate delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent DX professionally at all times.
- Adhere to all DX manual handling and safety policies, including proper PPE use.
- Observe and comply with all DX procedures and policies.
- Handle all freight with care and attention.
- Access and egress vehicles correctly.
- Use appropriate equipment for freight handling and movement.
- Ensure all deliveries are loaded safely before leaving the site.
- Report any damages immediately to your line manager.
- Verify freight against paperwork/scanner information.
- Ensure customer freight is handled safely and respectfully.
- Maintain warehouse security by reporting any suspicious activity.
- Keep the warehouse tidy and report any health and safety concerns.
Skills and Expertise:
- Ability to work effectively during night shifts.
- Experience in warehouse operations (preferred).
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
