About the Role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated Registered Nurse to become the Deputy Home Manager at a leading care home in Houghton-le-Spring, Tyne & Wear. This role will lead and inspire a team to deliver high-quality care and enhance resident experiences in a dementia care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire care team to deliver exceptional resident experiences, promoting choice and independence.
  • Ensure adherence to care standards, policies, regulations, and care plans.
  • Implement and monitor care home policies, standards, staff welfare, and training to maintain an excellent reputation.
  • Develop personal relationships with residents, relatives, and visitors to improve resident quality of life.
  • Deputise in the overall management of the care home, including report generation, budget management, and quality of life monitoring.
  • Maintain a safe environment for all, including colleagues, residents, and visitors, by identifying and reporting any hazards.
  • Ensure team participation in training and development opportunities.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Registered Nurse with a current NMC Pin
  • Experience managing a team, supervising staff, and creating effective rotas.
  • Knowledge of quality and clinical governance programmes, including audit and care services.
  • Strong understanding of the NMC Code.
  • Proven leadership and motivation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
