About the Role:
As a Unit Nurse Manager (General) at a Barchester care home, use your compassion and initiative to ensure residents receive high-quality care. Plan, manage, and monitor nursing delivery, implementing person-centred care plans. You’ll also play a key role in staff management, including recruitment, training, and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage nursing rotas.
- Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff.
- Develop and implement person-centred care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate resident care.
- Build relationships with local regulators and social services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical practices and regulatory frameworks (DoLs/MCA, Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines).
- Conduct detailed risk assessments.
Skills and Expertise:
- Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
- Experience in developing care plans and risk assessments.
- Strong understanding of recent clinical practices and regulatory frameworks (DoLs/MCA, Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines).
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and support nursing staff.
