About the Role:
We are recruiting a Nursery Manager for a medium-sized setting near Chester. This role involves overseeing daily operations, implementing best practices, and fostering a positive environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote child protection and safety by ensuring staff adherence to nursery policies.
- Lead and support staff in implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Monitor and evaluate playroom practices for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with parents/carers to ensure children’s full integration.
- Anticipate and address the needs of children, families, and staff to maintain wellbeing.
- Support staff to create a high-morale team.
- Liaise with parents/carers and other family members.
- Communicate with the Local Authority and other professionals for optimal child outcomes.
- Promote high nursery standards for parents, staff, and visitors.
Skills and Expertise:
- Level 3 Childcare Qualification
- Level 2 Maths Qualification
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL)
- Management experience in an early years setting
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- In-depth knowledge of the EYFS
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- Option to work 4 or 5 days
- Salary: 40,000 – 50,000 per annum
