About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Therapies team in Guernsey. This hospital and community-based role offers a unique opportunity for professional development and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Occupational Therapy services to adult patients within the hospital and community settings.
  • Participate in a nine-month rotation between hospital and community teams, with an opportunity to remain in the community role.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Diagnose and treat patients in various settings, including acute hospital complex, and community.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Manage a defined caseload of patients.
  • Supervise students and OT assistants, and assist in the orientation of junior OTs.
  • Work as part of a flexible Occupational Therapy service and multidisciplinary team.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with full HCPC registration.
  • Two years’ post-registration experience in adult hospital wards and/or adult community settings.
  • Experience in supervising students and OT assistants.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage own defined caseload.
  • Current driving licence.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
