About the Role:
The Harrow Community Therapy Service seeks a newly qualified Occupational Therapist to develop their skills within a supportive team. This role offers professional guidance and development opportunities within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Specialist Occupational Therapist in supervising, advising, teaching, and supporting therapy assistants, key workers, relatives, and carers to promote patient care.
- Delegate, teach, and supervise Therapy Assistants and Technical Instructors, with senior staff guidance.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals on assessments, goals, and treatment programs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, plan individual management/treatment programs, and implement therapeutic interventions, utilizing clinical reasoning and diverse skills.
- Carry out rehabilitation and care programs to maximize patient independence and meet client goals.
Skills and Expertise:
- Newly qualified Occupational Therapist
- Analytical, investigative, and organizational skills
- Physical treatment skills
- Time management skills
- Understanding of patient-centered care
- Clinical reasoning
- Experience working with diverse healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of electronic patient records (training provided)
- Full driving license and access to a car
