About the Role:

Become a dedicated Onboard Host for Trans Pennine Express (TPE) at Newcastle Station. Provide exceptional customer service, manage stock, and handle transactions on TPE trains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ‘at seat trolley service’ on TPE trains, ensuring outstanding customer service.
  • Manage stock and handle transactions.
  • Travel on assigned trains, assisting passengers.
  • Achieve sales targets independently and meet contractual goals.
  • Accurately account for stock and transactions, and adhere to hygiene and safety standards.
  • Support management initiatives and perform Service Centre duties as directed.
  • Engage with passengers, providing information and addressing diverse needs.
  • Offer accurate details on services, ticketing, platforms, and potential disruptions.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability to work long hours and varying shifts.
  • Proficiency in managing stock and transactions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in customer service (preferred).
  • 18 years of age or older (due to specific responsibilities).

Job Facilities/Benefits:

  • Rotational shifts between 4:30 am and 12 am, including some weekends.
