About the Role:
Join our Major Trauma Centre at St George’s Hospital as an experienced Paediatric Clinical Psychologist. Support children and young people with serious injuries, their families, and staff, shaping psychological care pathways within the Integrated Psychological Model of Care pilot.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer specialist psychological support to children and young people under the care of the Major Trauma Centre.
- Ensure a timely and equitable response to new referrals.
- Conduct robust screening of distress.
- Deliver specialist psychological interventions where appropriate.
- Participate in staff teaching, training, and consultation activities.
- Engage in creative approaches to deliver effective clinical psychology interventions on surgical wards and paediatric intensive care.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experienced Paediatric Clinical Psychologist.
- Strong understanding of psychological care pathways.
- Expertise in working with children and young people with serious injuries.
- Proven ability to offer timely and equitable psychological support.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
