About the Role:
Holt Engineering seeks a skilled and experienced Cell Leader to drive efficiency, quality, and safety within their Farnborough Paint Shop team. This key role will oversee a team of painters and optimize production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and motivate a paint shop team, ensuring high levels of training and engagement.
- Optimize production processes, minimize waste, and improve overall paint shop efficiency.
- Maintain high-quality standards and ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
- Prioritise safety and comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory levels and purchasing to optimise stock.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for processes, equipment and techniques.
- Plan and manage the department’s budget.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally a paint shop).
- Strong understanding of both wet and dry paint application principles.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
