About the Role:
Hamberley Care Homes is seeking a dedicated and passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Newton House in East Renfrewshire. You will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day kitchen operations and ensuring residents receive high-quality meals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Chefs in planning and providing nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements.
- Preparing and serving balanced meals, adhering to dietary needs.
- Ensuring all food preparation complies with food hygiene standards and safe work practices.
- Managing food stocks and stores, maintaining accurate records and stock rotation.
- Conducting fridge temperature checks and maintaining accurate records to meet food hygiene requirements.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven experience in a catering role, preferably in a care environment.
- Commitment to customer care and exceptional service.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations.
- Empathy and a passion for making a positive difference to residents’ lives.
- Strong multitasking abilities, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork and flexibility.
