About the Role:
A highly-rated secondary school in Solihull is seeking a passionate and experienced PE Teacher to join their team. The role will initially cover maternity leave, with potential for ongoing work and development. This position necessitates a dynamic approach to delivering high-quality PE sessions across various year groups, ideally including A-Level classes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons aligned with the National Curriculum across secondary year groups, including KS5 (A-Level) where applicable.
- Manage and supervise a class of approximately 30 students effectively and implement effective behaviour management strategies.
- Potentially cover other secondary subjects as part of the weekly timetable.
- Maintain a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students.
Skills and Expertise:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent coaching qualifications.
- Proven experience in sports coaching or a relevant education sector.
- Experience delivering high-quality physical activity sessions within the secondary curriculum.
- Strong understanding of effective pupil behaviour management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team.
