About the Role:
A Personal Assistant is required to support an 80-year-old gentleman with his socialisation and daily needs. The role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to enhance the quality of life for a valued member of the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with mobility and getting around, including travel.
- Accompany to social events (e.g., Stroke Lunch Club).
- Provide companionship and support with social activities.
- Assist with shopping and appointments.
- Prepare meals, snacks, and refreshments.
- Undertake light domestic duties.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience providing personal care and support.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of all ages.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a friendly disposition.
