About the Role:
Support a young woman with cerebral palsy during maternity leave, covering daily tasks and providing companionship in Roydon, Norfolk. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, access to the local community, and general support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals and drinks
- Assist with feeding
- Assist with clothing adjustments
- Support with shopping and leisure activities
- Assist with arts, crafts, and cooking
- Provide companionship
Skills and Expertise:
- Full UK Driving licence
- Over 21 years of age
- Reliable and flexible
- Positive and friendly personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Potential for shared interests (arts, crafts, cooking)
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- 12 per hour
- Flexible working hours (up to 28 hours per week)
- Enhanced DBS check covered by the employer
- 3-month probation period
- Holiday entitlement equivalent to 5.6 consecutive weeks of work
- Potential for additional training in manual handling, hazardous chemicals, and food handling
