About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant to assist with daily household tasks and provide support to a family with special needs, including autism and developmental delays. The successful candidate will have a patient and understanding nature, and will be essential in ensuring the smooth running of the household.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting around the house with general tasks.
  • Helping with meal preparation.
  • Running errands and trips to the shops.
  • Providing support during medical appointments.
  • Undertaking any other reasonable duties as requested.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Calming, reassuring, caring, and patient nature.
  • Understanding of the need for confidentiality and respect for privacy.
  • Adaptable approach to supporting diverse family dynamics.
  • Experience with autism and neurodiversity (desirable).
  • Flexibility in working hours (desirable).

Job Facilities/Benefits:

  • 11.68 per hour.
  • 8 hours per week, with hours discussed further at interview.
  • Holiday entitlement equivalent to 5.6 consecutive weeks.
  • Free Care Skills training.
  • DBS check covered by employer.
  • Satisfactory references from two referees (one being a current or previous employer).
  • Completion of a satisfactory 6-month probationary period.
  • Free annual training as required by the role.
