About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant to assist with daily household tasks and provide support to a family with special needs, including autism and developmental delays. The successful candidate will have a patient and understanding nature, and will be essential in ensuring the smooth running of the household.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting around the house with general tasks.
- Helping with meal preparation.
- Running errands and trips to the shops.
- Providing support during medical appointments.
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties as requested.
Skills and Expertise:
- Calming, reassuring, caring, and patient nature.
- Understanding of the need for confidentiality and respect for privacy.
- Adaptable approach to supporting diverse family dynamics.
- Experience with autism and neurodiversity (desirable).
- Flexibility in working hours (desirable).
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- 11.68 per hour.
- 8 hours per week, with hours discussed further at interview.
- Holiday entitlement equivalent to 5.6 consecutive weeks.
- Free Care Skills training.
- DBS check covered by employer.
- Satisfactory references from two referees (one being a current or previous employer).
- Completion of a satisfactory 6-month probationary period.
- Free annual training as required by the role.
