About the Role:
Support a young man with learning disabilities, autism, and ADHD in Wymondham, Norfolk, to access the community and increase independence. The role requires patience, understanding, and a strong sense of routine to create a stable and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support with accessing community resources and planning activities.
- Assist with shopping, meal preparation, and budgeting.
- Provide support with public transport and social interactions.
- Help develop everyday life skills and personal goals.
Skills and Expertise:
- Caring, reliable, and patient nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a reassuring and motivating environment.
- Understanding of Autism and ADHD (desirable).
- Valid UK driving license and appropriate business insurance (essential).
- Good sense of humour and active personality.
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- 11.68 per hour.
- 6 hours per week on Mondays.
- DBS check covered by employer.
- Satisfactory references required.
- Completion of a probationary period.
- Annual holiday entitlement equivalent to 5.6 weeks.
- Mandatory training in GDPR, Health and Safety, Autism, and Food Hygiene.
