About the Role:
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Personal Care Assistants to support a young man with visual impairment, hearing loss, and nonverbal communication in the St Helen Auckland, Bishop Auckland area. This role requires a caring and patient individual to provide essential personal care and social stimulation through play and sensory activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance.
- Support mobility needs.
- Facilitate social stimulus through playwork and sensory activities in the home or community.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities (visual impairment, hearing loss, nonverbal communication).
- Caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
- Good communication skills.
- Proven ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team.
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- Enhanced DBS check paid for by employer.
- Flexible full-time and part-time hours negotiable at interview.
- Hourly rate: 11.44 per hour.
