About the Role:
This key role supports the Station Commander of RAF Northolt, providing essential secretarial and administrative support to ensure smooth office operations. The role encompasses the entire RAF South East region. The Personal Assistant is vital to the Station Commander’s effectiveness and output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating the Station Commander’s diary using Outlook.
- Preparing supporting documents and materials for meetings.
- Handling all requests and meeting conflicts.
- Maintaining utmost discretion and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information.
- Prioritizing tasks and appointments on behalf of the Station Commander.
- Utilizing task trackers for email and task coordination, highlighting deadlines.
- Drafting and finalizing correspondence and presentations.
- Assisting with travel arrangements and station facilities.
- Ordering stationary and ensuring IT/conference facilities are functional.
Skills and Expertise:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience with task tracking software and prioritization techniques.
- Knowledge of Civil Service mandatory training.
- Understanding of risk management and HR procedures.
- Familiarity with relevant management tracking databases.
