About the Role:
This Pharmacy Dispenser position in Lancashire offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vital healthcare role. You will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense medications according to prescription instructions and pharmacy procedures.
- Manage patient interactions and provide pharmaceutical advice.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of medications.
- Adhere to all relevant Health and Safety regulations and policies.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements concerning the handling of pharmaceuticals.
- Handle and report accidents, untoward occurrences, and potential hazards.
- Maintain pharmacy property and report security breaches.
- Complete all required training and inductions.
- Support the pharmacy’s Equality & Diversity goals.
- Participate in pharmacy performance management systems.
- Undertake any other duties within the framework of the role.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and maintain relevant training.
Skills and Expertise:
- Qualified pharmacy technician or dispenser certification.
- Excellent understanding of pharmaceutical regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant software and systems.
- Ability to work unsupervised and prioritize workload.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
