About the Role:
Become a crucial part of Altilium’s EV battery recycling plant in Plymouth, supporting the smooth operation of our facility and contributing to the green energy revolution. This role involves essential hands-on work ensuring the machinery is functioning correctly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, setup, and maintenance of equipment.
- Operate processing equipment precisely and safely.
- Conduct checks and troubleshoot issues to guarantee smooth operations.
- Perform routine maintenance to keep machinery in optimal working order.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and wearing necessary PPE.
- Handle and transfer chemicals safely using appropriate PPE and adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Assist with chemical sampling, handling, and inventory management (future responsibilities).
Skills and Expertise:
- Health and Safety Knowledge (manual handling, PPE).
- Operational Skills (forklift/reach forklift license, IPAF, PASMA certification desirable). Experience with confined space entry and process machinery/equipment beneficial.
- Emergency Preparedness (risk management, emergency procedures, safety protocols).
- Adaptability and willingness to take on a variety of tasks.
- Proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Safety-driven mindset.
