About the Role:
Chase Bridge Primary and Nursery School, a thriving multi-award-winning school in Richmond upon Thames, seeks a dedicated Playworker to join their experienced and friendly team in their popular after-school club. This role focuses on supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and learning development in a supportive community environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire a love of learning and enjoyment amongst children, parents and staff.
- Support children’s emotional wellbeing and development.
- Manage and supervise children in the after-school club environment.
- Implement engaging activities and learning opportunities for children.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure continuity in children’s learning.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven experience working with children, ideally including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Calm, supportive manner and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- Competitive salary (NJC Scale 2, SCP4, 8,728).
