About the Role:
Manage patients with chronic conditions, leading clinic sessions and maintaining effective call and recall systems. Participate in national screening programs and deliver immunisation schedules. Provide care for minor injuries and support contraceptive services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patients with chronic diseases, running specific clinic sessions and maintaining robust call and recall systems.
- Participate in national screening work (e.g., cervical cytology) and deliver national immunisation and vaccination schedule.
- Treat patients with minor injuries.
- Provide or assist GPs with contraceptive services.
- Act as chaperone when required.
- Undertake health promotion and patient education.
- Maintain accurate patient records and enter data using Read Codes.
- Ensure accurate completion of all necessary patient healthcare documentation.
- Collect data and participate in practice audit and research projects.
- Contribute to practice development plans.
- Maintain NMC registration and adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct.
- Promote a professional approach in attire and attitude to patients and staff.
- Maintain continuous professional development and update PDP.
- Attend and participate in staff and practice meetings and in-house clinical training sessions.
Skills and Expertise:
- NMC registration.
- Proven experience in patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR).
- Knowledge of Read Codes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
