About the Role:
We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Database Administrator (DBA) to join our database team. You will play a critical role in ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of our data systems, supporting the data needs of the entire organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of database systems.
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems across NCA sites.
- Manage database server and storage system deployments.
- Ensure alignment with NHS standards and industry best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and support in diagnosing and resolving database issues and incidents.
- Guide digital team members in identifying root causes and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
- Implement advanced security measures to protect database environments and sensitive data.
- Implement access controls, encryption technologies, and monitoring systems.
Skills and Expertise:
- Extensive experience in database technologies.
- Proven ability to manage and optimize database infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of database architecture and design.
