About the Role:
Provide expert process engineering and chemistry advice to deliver significant improvements and efficiencies in mine water remediation schemes for abandoned metal mines. Develop innovative solutions and advise on design for active and passive remediation schemes, while representing the organization nationally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on process engineering and/or process chemistry.
- Deliver significant improvements and efficiencies in mine water remediation schemes.
- Provide design advice relating to active and passive mine water remediation schemes.
- Develop innovative solutions to mine water remediation.
- Represent the organisation at a national and international level.
- Undertake and manage project technical work.
- Improve understanding of existing processes for and develop innovative solutions to mine water remediation.
Skills and Expertise:
- Relevant degree in chemistry or chemical/process engineering.
- Experience in the design and operation of water treatment plants.
- Knowledge of aqueous chemistry, particularly the removal of metals from water.
- Experience in managing the testing and development of new processes and/or process improvements.
- Ability to challenge and innovate in a flexible environment.
