About the Role:

As a qualified tutor, you’ll provide personalized one-to-one support to students in Harrow, London. Tailoring your teaching approach to individual needs, you’ll help students build confidence, overcome learning gaps, and reach their full academic potential in core subjects like Maths, English, and Science. This flexible part-time role offers significant freedom in setting your own schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-to-one tutoring across core subjects, adapting to each student’s specific learning needs.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to support academic achievement.
  • Provide targeted support to children with SEN, using a nurturing and adaptable teaching style.
  • Monitor and assess progress, offering regular feedback to parents or guardians.
  • Create a supportive and motivating learning environment to build confidence and independence.

Skills and Expertise:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in the UK
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • SEN experience (highly desirable)
  • Compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to teaching students with varying needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
