About the Role:
Catfoss Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a globally respected R&D company to recruit a permanent Quality Controller for their expanding Quality Management team. Reporting to the Head of SHEQ, this role is crucial for maintaining high quality standards and ensuring compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support in all Quality related matters, maintaining quality standards.
- Deploy and ensure adherence to Quality policies, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with departments to understand business requirements and provide quality advice.
- Lead, facilitate, and support non-conformance activities, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Oversee and support Quality assessments, including regulatory audits and process confirmations.
- Ensure company staff complies with relevant training and competence requirements.
- Demonstrate and encourage company values and behaviours.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven experience as a Quality Controller, ideally in manufacturing or engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of Quality management principles and related disciplines.
- Minimum HNC or degree in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding and application of ISO 9001.
- Trained auditor with audit experience.
- Understanding of continuous improvement principles.
- Ability to interpret and apply industry standards and legislative requirements.
- Quality subject matter expertise, interpreting specifications, procedures, and contract requirements, and communicating them effectively.
