About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer with Mechanical Engineering experience to join a growing team at a company serving Aerospace, Defence, Medical, and Life Sciences industries. This role focuses on driving quality and operational compliance within the functional area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the front-end of the business’s Contract review process
  • Interface with Customers on inspection/FAIRS
  • Drive a Quality and Right First-Time culture within the functional area
  • Support and guide the implementation of root cause and corrective actions
  • Develop plans to improve the business score within the business’s COS
  • Support and conduct audits (product and process, as required)
  • Monitor and escalate internal product quality issues
  • Identify gaps in processes and implement procedural changes

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experience within manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge/experience of Contract review
  • Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (preferably related to the industry)
  • Good business acumen with a focus on business goals
  • Strong problem-solving and investigative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Proactive, highly motivated, and a self-starter

Day-to-day:

  • Supporting the front-end of the business’s Contract review process
  • Day-to-day support of Operational Quality issues
  • Interface with Customers on inspection/FAIRS
  • Drive a Quality and Right First-Time culture within the functional area
  • Support and guide the implementation of root cause and corrective actions
  • Enhancement and adherence to internal procedures and quality plans
