About the Role:
Headway Adolescent Resources is seeking casual Residential Childcare Workers to join our new residential home. This role offers flexibility with no contractual obligation, while supporting young people with challenging behaviour to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a high standard of childcare to young people.
- Work with young people exhibiting challenging behaviour.
- Maintain clear, neat records of daily activities.
- Comply with statutory and policy requirements.
- Engage, motivate, and encourage young people.
Skills and Expertise:
- Full manual driving license
- Previous experience working with challenging young people (desirable)
- Commitment to working towards a Level 3 Children and Young People qualification (or already qualified)
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathetic nature
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- Unqualified: 12.79 per hour
- Qualified: 13.11 per hour plus sleep-in shifts (36 per night as needed)
