About the Role:
Service Care Solutions is seeking a compassionate and skilled Respite and Outreach Support Worker for Blackpool Council. This role focuses on providing comprehensive care and support to vulnerable adults, ensuring their well-being and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Personal Care, including intimate care, medication management, and maintaining hygiene standards.
- Offer Practical Support, assisting with meal preparation, shopping, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Monitor Well-Being, recording observations, reporting changes, and contributing to care plans.
- Support Transitions, guiding young people into adult services and collaborating with families and professionals.
- Foster Relationships, building positive connections with service users, families, and other professionals.
Skills and Expertise:
- Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care (or commitment to achieve within 2 years).
- Experience working with vulnerable adults, including care plan implementation and challenging behaviors.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills; ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
- Knowledge of health and safety in care settings, and cultural/religious diversity.
