About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Assistant to provide vital assistance to students with special educational needs. This role will focus on developing and implementing tailored support plans to foster student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs in various classroom settings.
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with teaching staff to ensure students’ needs are met.
  • Monitor student progress and report any concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and support provided.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Proven experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of disability legislation and best practices.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience using appropriate technology tools for support and communication.
