About the Role:

A dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant is needed to support pupils with complex needs at a specialist school in Gorton, Greater Manchester. This role will focus on delivering personalised support to meet the academic and holistic needs of students aged 11-18 with learning difficulties and potential co-occurring conditions like autism, ADHD, and social/emotional/communication difficulties. The role involves a full-time commitment for the remainder of the 2024-2025 academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with complex needs.
  • Implement tailored educational strategies aligned with the SEN curriculum.
  • Assist in classroom management and create a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents/carers.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experience working with SEN pupils, either personal or professional.
  • Solid understanding of SEN curriculum.
  • Proven track record of excellent classroom performance and feedback.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Creative, articulate, dedicated, and passionate approach to student support.
  • Team player attitude.

Job Facilities/Benefits:
