About the Role:

This role is designed to support students with special educational needs (SEN) within a classroom setting, focusing on enhancing their learning and overall well-being. The HLTA will work closely with teachers to create individualized learning plans and provide targeted support to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, adapting them to meet the needs of SEN students.
  • Provide individualized support and intervention to students with SEN, based on their specific needs and learning styles.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with SEN.
  • Prepare and maintain learning materials and resources for students.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Proven experience working with students with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of inclusive educational practices.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to diverse learning needs.
  • Patience and a compassionate approach to supporting students.
