About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic SEN schools in Plymouth. Your role will involve providing vital support to pupils with various learning and developmental needs, fostering positive relationships, and empowering them to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 or group support for students with SEN, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning experience.
- Supporting students in overcoming academic and social challenges, contributing to their personal growth and independence.
- Working closely with teachers to deliver tailored lesson plans and strategies to meet individual needs.
- Assisting with behaviour management strategies, creating a safe and supportive environment.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience working with children with SEN.
- Passion for supporting SEN children.
- Flexibility, patience, and a proactive approach to individual learning needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to a full-time role.
- Previous experience in education (preferred), or transferable skills from care or support roles.
- Valid driving licence (desirable, but not essential).
