About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to provide one-on-one support to a Year 3 child in Westminster, London. The ideal candidate will also assist with general classroom duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a Year 3 child with SEN, ensuring access to the curriculum.
- Assist with implementing the child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Support the class teacher with general classroom activities and administrative tasks.
- Help manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
- Encourage social interaction and support the development of social skills.
Skills and Expertise:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
