About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-on-one support to a Year 3 student with special educational needs. The role involves assisting with the student’s individualised education plan (IEP) and supporting classroom activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a Year 3 child with special educational needs, ensuring effective curriculum access.
- Assist with implementing the child’s individualised education plan (IEP).
- Support the class teacher with general classroom activities and administrative tasks.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment.
- Encourage social interaction and support the development of social skills.
Skills and Expertise:
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (highly desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
- Enhanced DBS on update service (or willingness to obtain one).
