About the Role:
Are you a passionate educator seeking flexible 1-on-1 tutoring opportunities? Teaching Personnel is looking for dedicated SEN tutors to provide high-impact tuition to students across West Northamptonshire. We partner with local authorities to support children with a variety of needs, including SEN, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties, from primary to GCSE level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering educational sessions face-to-face at student homes or public spaces (e.g., libraries, community centres).
- Developing and implementing tailored educational plans based on individual student needs.
- Planning and preparing resources to enhance learning in core subjects (e.g., Maths, English, Science).
- Working with primary and secondary children with SEN/SEMH needs, Looked After Children (LAC), and those in mainstream or alternative provision settings.
Skills and Expertise:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Higher Level Teaching Assistant certification.
- Proven experience working with children with special educational needs and/or emotional and mental health needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with children.
- Ability to manage and implement behaviour strategies.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
