About the Role:

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated SEND Coordinator to support the educational needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) within our school. This role requires a strong understanding of SEND legislation and practices, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEND.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic support system.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on inclusive practices.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to students with SEND.
  • Attend meetings and participate in relevant training and professional development.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Proven experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Deep understanding of SEND legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with parents/carers.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant assessment tools and strategies.
