About the Role:

Bridgemary School seeks a highly motivated and experienced SENDCo to drive improvements in intervention programs and student support. This pivotal role will play a key part in refining existing strategies to further enhance the learning outcomes of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective intervention programs for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Manage a diverse and complex workload related to student support and intervention.
  • Lead and coordinate support for pupils with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and dyslexia.
  • Identify and support pupils with SEND, ensuring they receive appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with students, staff, parents, and external agencies.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with secondary school experience.
  • National Award for SEN Coordination or SENDCo NPQ certification.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.
  • Proven experience in identifying and supporting pupils with various SEND.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
