About the Role:
Become a Senior Care Assistant at Nightingale Nursing & Care Home, providing compassionate care to residents and leading your shift team. This role demands a nurturing approach, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to resident well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to residents in all aspects of daily living.
- Promote resident independence, dignity, and respect.
- Lead your shift team, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
- Complete daily medication rounds and document accurately.
- Promote good care practices and challenge any poor practices.
- Conduct regular one-to-ones with care and support team members.
- Investigate and address resident complaints.
Skills and Expertise:
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., Registered Nurse, NVQ Level 3 or above).
- Minimum two years experience as a Care Assistant in a residential/nursing home setting.
- Strong understanding of Person-Centred Care Planning.
- Proven ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Nurturing and compassionate attitude.
- Proficient in time management.
- Understanding of abuse prevention and reporting procedures.
