About the Role:
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, you’ll play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to residents in our diverse care homes. Your leadership and interpersonal skills will be key in fostering a positive and supportive environment for residents and colleagues alike. You will assist Registered Nurses and Care Managers in delivering high-quality care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement personalized care plans for residents.
- Lead a team of Care Assistants, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
- Assist residents with daily activities, including personal care and social interaction.
- Monitor and record resident health and wellbeing data accurately.
- Provide support and assistance with medication administration, under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Create a supportive environment for residents and their families.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver holistic care.
- Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Skills and Expertise:
- Level 2 Diploma or equivalent in Adult Care
- Proven experience in caregiving and experience in Person-Centred Care Planning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport with residents and their families
- Knowledge of dementia care is desirable
- Excellent record-keeping skills
- Experience leading a team or demonstrated leadership potential is beneficial
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures
