About the Role:
This senior safeguarding practitioner role in the UK will focus on supporting children and young people at risk in a variety of settings. The role will involve assessing needs, developing tailored support plans, and providing a vital link between the child/young person, their family, and the relevant services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and support children and young people at risk, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Develop and implement individual support plans for children and families.
- Liaise with parents, guardians, and other professionals to coordinate care and support.
- Document case information accurately and comprehensively in line with safeguarding procedures.
- Complete required administrative tasks and maintain comprehensive records.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of children within the UK.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven experience in safeguarding children and young people in a professional setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and safeguarding legislation in the UK.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate and develop support plans.
- Commitment to working in accordance with the UK’s Code of Practice for Safeguarding.
- Experience in working with vulnerable populations.
- Proficiency in relevant software and documentation systems.
