About the Role:
Join a well-established Main Contractor in the Thames Valley, responsible for driving all design project outcomes. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to lead a team of Design Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and assist design team through scheme/production design and delivery.
- Provide technical expertise in design management and act as focal point.
- Work with commercial manager to produce project-specific designer agreements.
- Liaise with project planner to manage a realistic design programme.
- Represent the project team at client review meetings.
- Develop a detailed design programme with all relevant parties.
- Attend internal design meetings to review drawings, team and subcontractors.
- Action comments and provide instructions for subcontractors.
- Assist construction managers in design issues.
- Ensure design complies with statutory requirements.
Skills and Expertise:
- Relevant Qualification in Construction Management
- Proven track record of success in Design Management within Main Contracting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in client-facing roles
