About the Role:

Scottish Power Renewables seeks a highly experienced Senior Installation Engineer for the East Anglia 3 project. This role focuses on the design and management of transportation and installation (T&I) elements of inter array cables. The engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring project success through meticulous planning, execution, and coordination across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engineering plans, managing internal and external resources.
  • Develop and implement T&I Management Plans, managing internal and external resources.
  • Coordinate interface tasks to meet project requirements.
  • Manage CVA approval processes for T&I.
  • Establish and manage effective communication protocols and document review processes.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to project planning and installation execution.
  • Manage and complete Design for T&I (Seabed Management Plan, Installation Analysis, etc.)
  • Manage and approve contractor installation engineering activities.
  • Prepare T&I elements of project documents.
  • Develop and implement cable replacement/repair strategies.
  • Review, approve, and manage changes to contractor procedures and engineering analysis.
  • Liaise with and manage the Marine Warranty Surveyor.
  • Oversee offshore company representatives.
  • Manage and coordinate daily offshore installation works (T&I, cable termination, testing).
  • Manage and apply Vessel Assurance processes.
  • Approve as-installed records.
  • Monitor project progress and report on performance.
  • Support the quality manager in NCR closeout.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Degree in relevant engineering discipline.
  • 8-10 years overall experience, with 3-5 years specializing in subsea inter array cables.
  • Proven track record of safely managing complex offshore works.
  • Experience in subsea engineering, specification/tender document production, contract negotiation (technical aspects), subsea cable installation method statements, construction planning, and budgetary estimations.
