About the Role:
As a Bank Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you’ll provide quality, person-centred care and support to residents, leading a team of care staff. This includes training, supervision, and delegation of duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of care staff, including training, supervision, and delegating duties on shift.
- Administer and order medication, review and update resident care plans and risk assessments.
- Liaise with GP’s, district nursing teams, and resident family members.
- Respect resident dignity and preferences, creating a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment.
Skills and Expertise:
- NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
- Previous experience in a residential care setting.
- Proven team leadership skills.
- Ability to make appropriate decisions to support resident needs and wellbeing.
- Warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed to individualised care and support.
