About the Role:

Wagamama is seeking a highly motivated and inspirational Senior Sous Chef to join our team in Lincolnshire. This role requires a dedicated leader to create a positive work environment for the kitchen team, driving exceptional guest experiences and restaurant performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive environment.
  • Develop and coach junior staff, ensuring exceptional culinary standards.
  • Ensure all food, health, and safety standards are maintained.
  • Manage kitchen operations effectively, including inventory control and labor costs.
  • Drive restaurant performance through effective management and problem-solving.
  • Support the Head Chef in recruiting and developing the kitchen team.
  • Actively contribute to a coaching culture within the team.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Proven experience leading a kitchen team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Experience in managing kitchen operations and cost control.
  • Knowledge of financial performance metrics (e.g., GP, stock control).
  • Proven ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong focus on delivering excellent guest experiences.
