About the Role:

Join a dedicated residential team as a Senior Support Worker in Hertfordshire, supporting children and young adults with diverse needs in a nurturing environment. Lead and motivate your team to ensure high-quality care and a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and coach a team of support workers.
  • Foster a caring and stable environment prioritizing resident health, safety, and welfare.
  • Provide physical and emotional support to children and young people in residential settings and off-site activities.
  • Oversee the induction, mentoring, and development of new team members.
  • Conduct regular supervisions and manage performance issues within your team.
  • Coordinate and delegate activities efficiently to implement individual care plans.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and undertake sleeping-in duties, waking night duties, and on-call responsibilities.
  • Participate in physical interventions and provide personal care as needed.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children or Adult Social Care or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shift/team leading or a supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Experience in managing the implementation of care plans.
  • Ability to maintain thorough documentation.
  • Willingness to perform sleeping-in duties, waking night duties, and on-call responsibilities.
  • Ability to engage in physical intervention and personal care tasks.

Job Facilities/Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: 15.25 – 16.64 per hour
  • Annual Salary: 31,720 – 34,611 per annum
  • Permanent, Full Time, 40 Hours per week, working shifts
